EIS support tackling physical inactivity at ELEVATE
The English Institute of Sport (EIS) is once again set to make a significant contribution to the UK’s largest cross-sector event focused on tackling physical inactivity.
Over two days (10-11th May), ELEVATE is bringing together the physical activity sector, academia, healthcare, government and performance experts at ExCeL London to discuss, share ideas and learn more about how we can address this increasingly complex societal challenge.
As an official supporter of the Future Performance strand of the event the EIS will be well represented with speakers across a range of performance topics including athlete recovery strategies, nutrition, data intelligence and duty of care.
The inaugural Elevate event at Olympia London last May featured over 100 exhibitors, 138 speakers and 2,562 individual attendees, with this year set to be even bigger.
EIS Head of Performance Analysis Chris White, who will chair a session on data intelligence and insight, said: “The EIS is very pleased to be supporting the future performance strand at ELEVATE, which will explore how advances and developments driven by the demands of elite sport can translate and impact everyday life.
“Tackling inactivity is widely recognised as being more important than ever and events such as this provide a great opportunity for us to share expertise, ideas and strategies across all the sectors involved.”
Elevate is free-to-attend on a first come, first serve basis.
