Piers and fellow wheelchair fencer Dimitri Coutya, who also won bronze and fifth place in epee and foil in the same competition, both train at the Sport Training Village (STV) at the University of Bath, one of eight EIS high performance centres across England.
Their day-to-day training is managed by EIS Lead Coach, Peter Rome with the EIS responsible for the management of the Wheelchair Fencing World Class Programme.
