Technical Steering Panel

Overseen by Dr Charlotte Cowie, the purpose of the Technical Steering Panel is to provide technical and ethical review and assurance to the UKSI.

Its key responsibilities are to:

1. Provide independent review of proposed UKSI technical projects and processes where internal approval thresholds are exceeded and/or when referred by the UKSI Senior Leadership team (SLT) in order to make appropriate recommendations to SLT and the Board.
2. Conduct independent review and/or audit of current UKSI technical projects and practice as requested by SLT and/or the Board.
3. Where appropriate, and in collaboration with the SLT and its Technical Leadership Teams, review guidelines and position statements to quality assure, safeguard and promote UKSI technical standards.
