The Opportunity

The UK Sports Institute and British Sailing Team have an exciting opportunity for a full time Sport Psychology maternity cover role, working at the British Sailing Team Performance Unit, Osprey Quay, Portland Marina, Portland, DT5 1DX

The successful applicant will work with Head of Performance Support to deliver Psychology service to the World-Class Programme Sailors during both training and competition.
This role will develop and deliver performance psychology services and education to sailors that supports and promotes the development of psychological skills to aid performance and wellbeing in the sailing environment. Having high level of confidence in your preferred sport psychology method, and high level of awareness of other approaches and an ability to flex your delivery style will be necessary for this role.
To do this role well, there must be a desire to engage in performance problem solving, interdisciplinary working and planning with SSSM team and coaches, to understand and prioritise where psychology will create performance impact.
